Kenan's Mill in Color

Spotlights cast a colorful glow on Kenan's Mill after dark last Saturday night. The mill and its grounds were used for an outdoor wedding reception. To your left, notice the strings of lights along the swinging bridge across Valley Creek.

This looks like an historic building. Would love to know more of its history.

Hi Kate, It is historic and is owned and maintained by the local Historic Preservation Society. The mill dates back to about 1860, and its turbine has been renovated so that it's once again a working mill, open during Spring Pilgrimage, the Kenan's Mill Festival in November and for special events.
