First Flower of Spring

Can the feline prognosticator be wrong? In my February 2 post, she predicted six more weeks of winter. Yet, here is proof that Spring is here! It's a daffodil, our first spring flower of the year...the ONLY flower in my yard so far...but there will be more... SOON. Just two weeks ago, we had snow.

Lucky, lucky you! :) It's very pretty, too...and a great photo. I did take a photo yesterday of the first tree leaf I've seen budding here, but no flowers yet.

We have the buds but no flowers it is bitterly cold here when it's not raining. You are really lucky.

NO WAY! I'm glad, actually, we are into winter still. I'm not ready for spring. We need more snow. But I really really love watching spring creep north up the continent with blogs and flickr. What a wonderful photo!

There are daffodils blooming two houses away from mine, a huge beautiful bunch of them. It will be 70+ degrees here today.

I am hoping the feline forecaster is wrong! (And the rodent too.)

Very pretty flower. I'm hoping to see some around here too. It's been raining enough for it. :)

Daffodils are my favorite flowers. . . .Of course, they're also the March (birthday) flower, so that might have something to do with it. But, I am amazed at how they grow those little crowns. . . .

I love daffs. Ours are up but not open yet.
I like the way the sun lights up the flower in your photo.

It's hard to believe that you already have daffodils blooming. Ours are still hibernating and wont show their tips until late April.
