What a fun idea! I like the reception activities to the right and the red barn to the left of the goodie table. Fun photo!

I'm sorry I'm such a dunderhead - thus I must ask - stoneground what?

Janet said...

Hi Jacob,
Mills ground corn into meal and wheat into flour.

Well, heck, I think I knew that...so this is corn meal or wheat flour in those little packages?

I thought it might be a small loaf of freshly-baked bread.

But, I'm kinda corny!

Jacob, I didn't say exactly which, just goodies. So, I see now why you thought that!

Cornmeal? I was thinking grits. Either way a really creative favor! Sounds like it was a real feast.

Do you know how someone could get some from the Mill? I mean, I have never really heard of a contact for them.

Hi Ladybugeg, The mill operates and sells cornmeal a couple times a year, at the Kenan's Mill Fall Festival the first Saturday in November, and during Spring Pilgrimage. Go to Pilgrimage.selmaalabama.com and click on Kenan's Mill for more info. The website is still under construction for the upcoming events.
