Southern Antiques and Collectibles

Got time to browse...for a while? This is one place to do it . Southern Antiques and Collectibles on Dallas Avenue is a haven for lovers of all things old and unusual. I even found a child's folding chalkboard, just like the one I had as a child! I once saw it on Antiques Road Show and was amazed it was now worth something like $200! As you walk to the door, check out the cute pumpkin farmer waiting to welcome you!

While I don't collect antiques, I do like looking at old things in the antique stores and have found toys, dishes, etc. like we had when we were little.

BTW. . .I added this to the blog, but while we have no state income tax, our sales tax is 9.25-9.75%. Food is 8.25-8.75%.

I do love to look at antiques! I liked the "farmer" pumpkin too. That is a neat way of using pumpkins!

Were they selling the blackboard for $2.00? One always hopes to find a bargain, right?

HI, and thanks for your comments.
Annie, they weren't selling the chalkboard! It was just kind of on display.

Chris, we have sales tax higher than I want to pay as well as state income tax.

Kerri, this farmer pumpkin makes me want to create my own. I might just try it!

Oh what a beautiful building. If it's a store today, I'm sure it was a residence, in earlier times.

Oh those to-the-floor windows! Wonderful!
