River Ride

Despite high water and a swift current after last week's flash flooding,

 boats were soon back cruising the Alabama River and enjoying

 the great weather ever since!

Bringing in the Boat

The city marina was busy last Friday as people took advantage of the warm weather and smooth river conditions. 

Speedboats and fishing boats headed into and out

of the Alabama River all day.

The Alabama River was calm yesterday when I first heard, then saw a couple of speedboats racing toward the railroad bridge. Perfect day for a river outing!

River Party

Fourth of July weekend draws many boaters to the Alabama River, and it looks like several boats have gathered for a middle-of-the-river party and swim.
