Skywatch Friday, From the Pumpkin Patch

The sky was bright blue this morning for St. Paul's Episcopal's Pumpkin Patch fest in the courtyard. Here's a view of the decorated Carter Gate at the entrance. The annual fest brings children from all over the city and county to pick out a pumpkin and participate in art projects.

Tepee at the Pumpkin Patch

We're back at St. Paul's Episcopal Pumpkin Patch for a view of the tepee. Notice the wooden cross in its center, and in the left background, there's the butterfly sculpture. The sculptures were unveiled a year ago, and many are still gracing Selma's corners and courtyards.

Carter's Fall Display

Continuing with Selma's downtown autumn decorations, we arrive at Carter Drug Co. and its cute, colorful window boxes. Click on the photo for a larger version and notice the pumpkin stands near the entrance.

The Scarecrows Three

Downtown Selma is dressed for autumn! Scarecrows, hay bales, leaves and pumpkins are everywhere as businesses get into the harvest season. These scarecrows three happily welcome you to Butler Truax Jewelers on Broad Street.

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Autumn is still alive and well at this little Victorian cottage in Selma's Old Town district. The display of yellow mums and pumpkins just seem to say, "Happy Fall, Y'all!"

Crimson Tide Boulevard

Raggedy Ann and Andy welcomes folks to none other than Crimson Tide Boulevard, a gravel road near Selma. The "Crimson Tide," of course, is the name of the University of Alabama sports teams, and in the fall...that means football!
