December Theme Day (Waiting)

Well, I waited and waited all month to find the perfect picture for December Theme Day, WAITING!

It finally happened on the last of day of November during a trip to Walmart. As I was browsing through Christmas decorations, the fire alarm sounded, and store associates quickly led customers outside. A Selma fire truck pulled in front of the store, and customers waited for the all clear signal before they returned inside. Apparently, there was no fire, thank goodness!

Ok, spill it, you pulled that little fire alarm thingy didn't you, just so you could get a theme day photo! lol, wow, how exciting that must have been, glad it was nothing. I remember being in our little local market once when the power went out. It was very dark and kind of fun to shop in the dark! Happy Theme Day!

OH, I didnt even think of Wal-Mart. I avoid that place because of the constant waiting. Good job.

now that is a funny capture of life. a fire alarm in a big walmart and you had a camera. and we all know how long it takes for fire drills if you work in a tall building.

A lot of waiting certainly goes on at a Wal-Mart during this time of year, both inside and out! Glad it was just a false alarm.

Happy Theme Day!

Hi Julie. I was in the lawn and garden section, so it wasn't far to go to get outside. I almost always carry a camera with me, either in my purse or car, because you never know when a good shot might come along! I learned that lesson back when I worked at a newspaper. Until the sales associates told everyone to get out, most customers just kept shopping, including me. I was wondering what that shrill whistling sound was! Thought it might be some electronic Christmas display gone crazy!

Nice Theme Day post! This happens all the time where I work. Not sure if it's because there are so many college students around or what, but I'm sure that is one of the reasons for all the false alarms.

At least this wait had a happy ending! You wait and wait and then the photo just falls into your lap!

I'll bet this would take first prize for most unusual theme day post!
