Ready to Fly

Chirp, chirp! It's time to leave this nest!

The day after I took this photo, the nest was empty. Four baby birds flew out to make their way in the world. Their momma built this straw house in an angelwing begonia hanging basket. See one of their hungry beaks HERE.

How wonderful that they are all off flying free and making their way in the world! I love that you were able to capture their young lives in pictures. And it was so cute the way you paired that baby bird photo with Father's Day!

This year we missed the nesting birds which had been in one of our flowering, hanging baskets for the past two years. I felt abandoned! Isn't it fun watching the whole process?

These birds will make nests just about anywhere...this is so cute. I've tried to get pics of the babies to no avail.

Nice shot!

What a cutie! Both are wonderful shots of precious moments.
A week ago, I was throwing some crumbs to a sparrow, and this one big one, would ignore them & just chirp & chirp. He was telling his smaller mama to feed him - which she did. My goal was to get him (or her) to pick up at least one piece - which he did but only one. I didn't see them any more this week.

I love frog mouth baby birds ready to flea the coop. We have so many young ones of all types on the feeders. So hungry.
