Carter Drug Grand Re-opening

Vendors Pam Parker and Julie Freeland of Birmingham were on hand Friday at Carter Drug Co.'s grand re-opening. Pam is a sales representative for Tyler Candles and Julie for 225 Unlimited.

They greeted shoppers and exhibited products such as pineapple crush hand-poured candles, decorative plates, frames and more. Other vendors demonstrated their wares and gave goodies to their purchasers.

The drugstore recently underwent a major interior renovation.

Looks like a fun time and it's always nice to get a few freebies!

I bet thats a great place to browse around.

My cat is our porch cat, it showed up one day with a big hole in its neck from probably a tom cat. It went to the vet got patched up, fixed and shots and has stayed around. Of course feeding it keeps it here. Its wild, I am the only person it will come up to.

Is it like a pharmacy or an old fashion drug store that sells perfumes and cosmetics too?

This looks and sounds like a shop we have here in Salem called the Farmer's Wife. Makes for fun shopping/browsing.

Jim, our calico is also a stray that had ears full of mites and needed fixing. She turned out to be a wonderful pet.

Ming, it's like the old-fashioned kind with cosmetics, perfumes, lotions, gifts. It had some of those things before, and the interior was redone to make it more spacious.
