Locomotive Mystery

No, you aren't hallucinating. This really DOES look like an old locomotive sitting in the middle of the countryside on the way to Six Mile Creek.

Anybody got an idea about how it ended up there?

Thanks to Nancy Kenfield for submitting her photo of this unusual find!

Very cool, I would like to climb around on it, but I bet there are a lot of sharp rusty things sticking out.

That is really odd! But I love how it looks.

Want to submit this post to Odd Shots Monday? It's absolutely perfect for that meme!

You could probably find an old abandoned railroad track somewhere nearby. Pappy

I love the Spanish moss on the trees. This scene reminds me of Cajun Louisiana.

This is extraordinary. I maintain a website (www.steamlocomotive.info) and it is very rare to find a locomotive we didn't know about, but this certainly qualifies. I've added a page to our site for the locomotive, and would be extremely grateful for permission to use this photo to illustrate it.
