Our World, Selma by Southwest

Besides tasting dozens of delectable dishes, part of the fun
at the Alabama River Chili Cookoff is touring the themed booths.
This one by International Paper took us to the desert of the Great Southwest.

These food-tasting events are great fun. Not so good on the waistline, though! :)

You have all sorts of celebrations going on in your recent posts. Lots of fun and activity in Selma.

Grandma Dot's is a popular restaurant in a marina near the end of the Sanibel Causeway bridge. It has a broad menu of simple, comfort food. Most of my friends order seafood. I had delicious fish and chips because I am a simple guy.

It does evoke that area of the country. And if you've got dozens of booths like that, it'll mean a lot of people come in for this sort of thing.
