The Nutcracker Ballet

These posters are all over town, because a Christmas ballet classic, The Nutcracker, is coming to Selma. Not only that, some of Selma's young dance students will perform in it.

The story of Clara and her Nutcracker prince opens at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 on the stage at Pickard Auditorium. This production by the Montgomery Ballet is presented by Arts Revive.

Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce and Truax & Company.

Beautiful! My mom used to take me every year when I was little. It's one of my favorite ballets.

I'm no ballet fan but we went to see the Nutcracker a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it. If you think its not for you give it a try, you'll be pleased you did :)

Yes, it's a Christmas classic but allways worth seeing when well performed.

I love the Nutcracker ballet and music! I first saw it performed when I was in my 30's and enjoyed the magical story as if I were a child once again! I someday hope to take my own children.

I just finfished listening to a story on NPR about all the Broadway shows that are closing because of the economy so it's wonderful to see that it isn't affecting everyone.
