Very Nawlins looking -

Cathy, this hotel was pretty much rebuilt to its original design. The antebellum riverfront buildings that still stand on Water Avenue have that Nawlins look.

It looks old enough to have been photographed with black and white film.

Abe, it is an old building but was extensively renovated back in the 1990s. I imagine there are some old black and white film photos of it. Thanks for visiting!

Funny, but I never expect Alabama to look like winter. :))

EG, except for some of the trees losing their leaves, it doesn't look much like winter this year. Very mild so far.

I enjoyed looking at the link you provided...a charming inn, esp . the inner courtyard.

Checked the meme and wonder why they don't provide photo portals?

Just the other night I was telling my husband a ghost story about this hotel. I even got a shot of the "ghost", which is to say that I caught the reflection of my flash in the glass of the lobby doors. LOL! - I like your black and white treatment of the facade. It takes me back to the time when they were in the process of creating a few "haints."
