Wind & Fire (Skywatch)

Skies were clear with smoke near Brantley School Friday afternoon after a grass fire got out of control near the road. If you look through the smoke, you can see two firefighters at work.

A bit of a breeze may have caused the fire, which was located well off the road when I first drove by it, to quickly spread to here only about 15 minutes later.

There are plenty more skies to view today. Head on over to www.skyley.blogspot.com

An all too familiar site in Vistoria this year. You have to admire the firefighters.

Good shot, those fires are scary.

Hard to believe things might be dry after all you've gotten, but these high pressure systems sure do dry things out rapidly.

Fire can get out of control quickly in the right environement!

Glad they got it under control. Awesome photo with the firefighters in the smokey haze....

By the way, the internet is such a SMALL world! Yesterday I went over to Southern Living's message board to look through the recipes and noticed "newest member Rambling Round" lol...I immediately thought of you and clicked your profile and it was you! Too funny!

I don't know why but I'm thinking of Laurel and Hardy driving away in that. Must be scary though with those fires at any time.
