Top of the Kiln (Skywatch Friday)

There's a 19th Century brick charcoal kiln at Kenan's Mill, and if you step inside and look straight up, you can see the sky through the trees.

Thanks to the Pilgrimage hosts at the mill who suggested this idea for a photo.

Today is Skywatch Friday, so click on over to www.skyley.blogspot.com.

Definitely a clever suggestion. I'm so surprised it is allowed. It does make an excellent capture!

I browsed your blog and.....That Bearing blossom photo is a real keeper. The moss draped trees framing the tombstone is stunning. The red rose really captures your eye. The photos of the hot Iron pour with the flames still on them was a great capture and the information was fascinating. Even your blog header makes a person want to move to Selma, Alabama. OH...I forgot I came to visit your sky watch photo, a very fun and creative shot, I like it. As you can see I really enjoyed your informative blog. Thanks for sharing.

Now that is what I call creative, and with so many of us skywatching it's hard to stand out. Hats off to ya, one I'll remember for a long time.

Louise, Oh yes, visitors can walk inside the kiln since it isn't used anymore. I've never seen anything else like this. It's shaped like a beehive.

Nature Ramblings, Thank you so much for your kind comments. Come back often!

I appreciate all of your visits.
