Rattlesnake Beans

Our rattlesnake beans are beginning to bloom and mature. Soon, there'll be beans for supper every day! Rattlesnake beans are a type of green snapbean that become mottled with purple as they grow. Real rattlesnakes have nothing to do with their production.

Good on the real Rattlesnake part. I do love fresh beans though.

How about naked dancing in the bean patch?

Nice photograph. I think we grew these beans during the war and mom left some go to seed or dry up on the vine and then they rattled and it sounded something like a rattlesnake with the beans inside the dry shell.
