Pink Camellia

Camellias are the winter day brighteners down South, and here in Alabama, they're the official state flower. It's a good thing I got this picture last week, because it's doubtful they will survive this week's frigid weather. Highs will be in the 30s and lows in the teens.

Gray days do need a bit of bright color. We have winter blooming Camellia here too. (Camellia susanqua) but they show is over so fast so I bet they do better in the South. MB

This photo is absolutely gorgeous. At first I thought it was a painting! Great job.

It's cold here, too. We expect 24 tonight and 21 tomorrow!

Not our usual winter weather!

Thank you, Jacob. I took the photo in the yard of one of my guest photographers, Christine Weerts. Her camera was "on the blink," and we didn't want to miss preserving it in photos.

Beautiful picture Janet. My middle name is Camille, so I like Camellia blooms, and they remind me of my grandmother's house.

Thanks, Jackie. I didn't know Camille was your middle name. Very pretty!
