Florals and Stripes

Florals and stripes complement each other at this downtown Selma intersection. The building with the striped awning is a jewelry store, while the flower bed is one of many along Broad Street.

This looks like the Med. Could be Greek islands. Very summery and pretty.

Nice look at your city street and the awning is fabulous. I really like the green color.

Nice colors on the street, it makes it inviting and a place you would want to stop and walk around and shop, instead of driving through to get someplace else.

Dear Selma Belle ,
Your superb photographs make Selma come to life even way up here in Chicago . Thanks.

I love those old-timey downtown buildings. And it's nice when the shops decorate the sidewalks with plants and flowers!

Hi Jubilo! Years ago, Selma had a Downtown revitalization project through the Main Street program. Businesses returned to original facades and period colors. This is one building that still reflects that, but now some buildings could use a new revitalization!

Very pretty! I don't see many awnings around here.
