Never saw that color of shell. Very pretty. Is that your normal garden variety turtle down there?
I was in the wrong place this week and saw one hit by a car and he struggled and struggled .I had to get out and move him to the grass to expire. I felt so badly and why don't people stop??
Smart turtle. I'd get the heck away from a big dog, too.
wow...close up turtle :DMy CC in here Thanks
Turtles abound. I think Jim in Terrell had one also! I love seeing them so I enjoyed your post immensely as usual. Hope you are having a great weekend!
Cute! We rarely see turtles here but in Missouri they were always crossing the road to go somewhere!
I would have loved to see that! glad turle survived...
And who said turtles were slow? Certainly no one told this turtle that! heheGreat capture here. I love turtles.
Looks pretty large, nice shot. I have noticed a lot of turtles sticking their heads up out of the lake in our park.
wow that is one big turtle, wonder if it belonged to someone
Is that a snapping turtle? Looks like one! The lab is lucky to have gotten away. Enjoy the weekend!!!
I hope the dog made it out alive! Nice photo :)
Very nice :)
I gotta say, I love turtles. I'd have loved to have seen the face off with the lab. lolBeautiful colors on the turtle's skin. Great camera critters photo!
As long as he still beat the hare, it shouldn’t matter how long that he took!
Hi! I'm glad the turtle survived! Whew! That was a close call.http://meeyauw.blogspot.com/2008/05/camera-critters-missed-shots.html
Awwwwwwww, poor thing! I'm glad he made it away, safely.Mari-NanciPhotos-City-Mine
I hope that he got where he was going and wasn't hindered by any other neighborhood pets.
To all who wondered how the turtle escaped the dog, the turtle snapped at its nose, and the lab went along her way!
