Some of the tombstones in older sections of Old Live Oak Cemetery are unstable. I don't know if that was case with this one or if it just got overturned.
I love cemeteries, too. In fact, I started a blog for cemetery photos, but haven't had time to load any yet. If you'd ever like to post some there (credited to you), please let me know.
Southern Heart, Like you, I could probably do an entire blog on the cemeteries around here. Thanks for the invitation. I may just find something to send.
Wow. You would think the caretakers if any are left there, would right the stone. Maybe it is safer this way though if kids are turning them over. Nice shot. Brings back some interesting memories of mother and father.

Looks like it was a very beautiful gravestone.
Very, very pretty headstone.

I love pictures of tombstones. Makes me think of so much.
Love the photos
It's a beautiful tombstone. Where my mom and dad are buried, they don't permit above-ground tombstones any more.

Oh this is just charming - and moving. Old graveyards are so beautiful.
