The newly renovated lobby of the St. James Hotel on Water Avenue is ready for Christmas. I left the ceiling and chandelier in the photo since they are decorative as well.
Totally beautiful photo. Of course show the chandelier and the molding. They are lovely.
I am so happy to hear of and see restoration/renovation/etc.! Please stop by the desk and tell them that at least one of your world-wide readers, would love to personally thank them.
'Cause every bit of renovation and restoration means that a part of our collective history is being preserved for future generations.
OK, I'll get off my soap-box now. :-) But I do feel strongly about this topic.

Utterly splendid! I was hoping it was somebody's living room. How I would love a room like this - the colors, space, furniture - such solid elegance.
I agree with Isadora, I had the same feeling at first, of somebody's (your?) livingroom. so elegant!
we will buy the christmas tree today:) but ours will be smaller...as the room is smaller, too:)

What a beautiful room. I would love to see some pics of the rest of the building.
I see the gold. Perhaps the frankincense and myrrh are inside the packages?
