That Golden Touch
Goldenrod is beginning to bring its magic touch to rural roadsides.
Before the camellia, this glorious wildflower was Alabama's state flower,
and I still marvel at its brilliance in late summer/early fall.

Autumn by the Road
One can't help but smile while driving along the country roadsides in late September. The goldenrod sure is smiling back!

Goldenrold
Bees love goldenrod and so do I! I did a little digital editing to darken the background and bring out the gold. This rich blossom that once was Alabama's state flower is almost in full bloom along roadsides, banks and in fields.
