Head down these steps on your journey to the bank of the Alabama River at Bridge to Freedom Memorial Park across the Pettus Bridge in Selmont. There are plaques along the way honoring and memorializing leaders in the Civil Rights Movement. (Note: At times, this area is very grown up, but it makes a nice, short stroll when kept up.)
