Friday Fences, The Rogers Iron Co.

I do believe this town could host an antique fence and gate tour!

This one was made by The Rogers Iron Co. of Springfield,
which I assume was the one in Missouri, and patented back in 1881.

Those kinds of fences and gates used to be as common as chain link but that was back then and today the chain link man is out of business and the only thing close is dog pens made from the same stuff parked in backyards like a down payment on a regular fence to keep the pet at home in paradise.

Rogers Iron Company sounds familiar. It's certainly a nice piece and is reminiscent of the kind of quality that went into products years ago.
