The Oldest Daily Paper

So...unlike folks in Mobile, Birmingham and Huntsville, I still get to start every morning
reading my hometown daily paper that is delivered to my house in real newsprint.
Not only that, but yesterday, when The Mobile Press-Register stopped daily publication
and cut its newsprint version to three times a week, I get to read the oldest daily
newspaper in Alabama! After 185 years, The Selma Times-Journal is still printing.

That's great, rub it in! Not only does your paper survive, but you also get to eat a delicious looking breakfast!

I hate what's happening to newspapers. I still get my daily!

185 years is a wonderful accomplishment for your newspaper and I hope they continue to thrive!

People in Huntsville are not too happy about the reduction in printed papers. I love the internet, but it is sad to see print going by the wayside. Hopefully, your paper will live many, many more decades.
