Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins today at sundown,
and services were held yesterday and today at Selma's Temple Mishkan Israel.
The historic temple is over 100 years old and used now for special observances.

I'm surprised little 'ole Selma has a temple. Our entire Baldwin County, which is huge, has no temple at all, and when I met the Rabbi Silberman in Mobile a few years ago, I asked him why, and he said it was "too much trouble." Your community is fortunate to have a place where the Jewish community can worship.
