I believe the zinnias in my front yard are on their last legs (er, stems). Critters such as the beetle, underneath, are taking over, while butterflies and moths, above, are scarce this summer.
Hi, I comment on your post of yesterday. So that is how the cotton plant looks like. The only time that I have been confronted with cotton as a plant was at reading Gone with the wind. It sounds like a product with a 'magical' zest to it..
That looks like a June bug. My daughter brought one in the house in a jar the other day. Remember the saying, "like a duck on a June bug"? Apparently, ducks find them to be tasty. LOL! - Sorry about your zinnias. I am about ready to tear out all of my leggy basil and tomatoes plants. Ugh. It is all so straggly looking.
