Battlefield Vittles

Roasted corn, jumbo stuffed baked potatoes, grilled ribeye steak sandwiches,
mesquite chicken sandwiches and several flavors of lemonade!
The Lemonade Saloon sure won over my taste buds at the Battle of Selma battlefield.
Just wish I could have tried a little of everything!

mmmm.

I had a gander through your re-enactment posts yesterday (but forgot to comment). I have only been to small scale re-enactments and with this anniversary of the War of 1812, there will be many more in the coming months, so your background (and backstage) notes were most enlightening.

and they have a lot of spices to shower your food with. I think I would try the steak sandwich.

Jim, you really LOOKED at this picture! Yes, I noticed all those spices & had planned to take my husband back to try that sandwich, but we didn't make it. The owner was grillin' those steaks right before my eyes!
