Jim Wood clears log and leaf debris from atop the spillway at Kenan's Mill in preparation for Saturday's festival.
Stone-ground cornmeal and grits will be available for sale, and visitors can tour the mill and see the wheels turn.

Thank God that he is doing that from the safety of the bank! I once saw some young boy scouts trying to do the same thing from the water at a spillway at Oak Mountain. There were no adults with them and I ordered them to stop like I was some sort of drill sergeant. LOL! - I LOVE fresh, stone-ground grits! Yum! And that would be extra special to watch them do it!
