City Daily Photo Theme Day (LOVING LIFE)

The tractor parade at the Orrville Tractor Show always attracts a crowd,
and this driver and the onlookers are loving it! The tractor show is held
in November, but I held this photo over for the "LOVING LIFE" Theme Day
at City Daily Photo blogs.

Ready to Race

These three look ready to race their tractors
at the Orrville Tractor Show last Saturday.

The event brings tractor enthusiasts from Alabama and nearby states
and features lots of activities for children in addition
to antique tractors, cars and engines.

The Yellow Cub Cadet

Pulled by a yellow Cub Cadet, these kiddies savor the excitement
of last November's tractor parade at the Orrville Tractor Show.
The event is taking a break this year, but we sure hope it will return next year!

Signs, Signs: Bama's Back!

So, with a win over No. 1 Mississippi State last weekend, Bama is back
to the top of the College Football Playoff rankings,
and I imagine that craftsmen of signs like these
 will be selling even more!

This sign was for sale at the Orrville Tractor Show.

S is for Smokey the Bear

It's "S" Week at ABC Wednesday, and SMOKEY the Bear hopped aboard
the back of this fire truck for the parade at the Orrville Tractor Show.

The annual event attracts thousands on what usually
turns out to be a beautiful fall Saturday.

Scripture & a Snapshot, Isaiah 64:8

"But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter;
and we all are the work of thy hand." Isaiah 64:8

Mailbox Decor

A Scottie, an elephant or a University of Alabama "A" will give your mailbox that personal touch! Handmade from the Heart designs displayed some of its wares last weekend at the Orrville Tractor Show. I suspect that since Iowa State upset Oklahoma State in college football last night that those big red A's will sell really well! The Crimson Tide's dreams of playing in the national championship just got closer.

Tractors on Parade

Over here in Central Alabama, we love our tractors!
No bands...no candy...no balloons...no singers...no dancers,
just tractors and fire trucks on parade!

What a Ride!

This fierce mechanical bull didn't scare the dozens of young bull-rider wannabes at the Orrville Tractor Show!

Way Back When

My husband enjoyed seeing this 1962 Farmall tractor at the Orrville Tractor Show on Saturday.
It's just like the one he used to bale alfalfa hay with way back in the late 1960s and early 70s (when he was a teenager)!

Drivin' Her Tractor

Even little girls wearing pink bows and pink cowgirl boots like to drive tractors!

This was one way to get around the tractor show in Orrville on Saturday.
Take a ride in a horse-drawn wagon!

Antique Ford Sedan

Back in 1937, a gallon of gas cost 10 cents, and a new car averaged less than $1,000.

That's the model year of this two-tone Ford Sedan that was among the antique cars on display at the Orrville Tractor Show last weekend.
