X is for eXceptional

Mrs. Mary E. McVoy must have been an eXceptional teacher
 to have been honored with a plaque such as this! 

Anyone remember water fountains like this?

    Is this in a school? How beautiful. Schools today are so institutional and ugly. I hope this building is still in use.

    This is in a building that used to be a school. It is used for various purposes now including the city's ceramics program and a children's museum as well as some offices.

    This is really nice! I've actually never seen a water fountain like this one -- probably because the schools I went to were built in the 1960s (I think).
