Valley Creek Up & Over
Valley Creek spilled up and over its banks this weekend after a three-day marathon of rainfall.
The yellow tape between the posts will hopefully keep people from trying to drive through the water that crept into Bloch Park, waterlogging part of the playground (not shown).
Oh Mercy!!
ReplyDeleteMmore to come on Tuesday. My ground is just saturated
Hopefully you needed the rain.
ReplyDeleteOh blimey! Very wet and soggy!
ReplyDeleteJim, We did need the rain but not all at once! After a couple years of drought, though, we'll take it however how it arrives.
ReplyDeleteJust watch--somebody will go through and say they never saw it.
ReplyDeleteOn Gresham Ore. blog about BBQs you said grilled out. I have to tell you that I heard that expression for the first time today and now I see it in print. I was told it is southern. Is that true? Out here we just say BBQ or barbeque. MB
Hi Small City Scenes,
ReplyDeleteSure hope nobody tries to drive through the high water. They would sink their vehicle!
Interesting about the "grill out" question. It must be southern, but I just asked my husband what he says, and he "cooks out" steak and hamburgers" and "barbecues" pork or ribs or chicken only IF he's going to put barbecue sauce on it. I say I'm gonna "grill out" hamburgers or smoke a Boston Butt or barbecue some chicken. Guess we are kinda SPECIFIC! Thanks for visiting.
That is scary. We seldom get flooding.
ReplyDeleteThat worries me about what I'll be going home to. The Pearl was already high when we left.
ReplyDeleteWow, that water is high! After that long dry spell it's good to see some rain again.
ReplyDeleteLove your new header picture!!
