Raindrops on Irises

March showers bring March flowers such as this raindrop-laden yellow iris. Selma has been saturated the past couple of days with up to nine (9) inches of rain, so say the weather reports. My backyard has soaked in 6.3 inches, and more is expected through today. Watch out! Rivers and creeks are rising!

This lovely flower photo was taken by Christine Weerts.

  4. Hopefully, the bamboo will act as a kind of tall screen and afford a hiding place for wildlife here in my backyard. It only grows to about ten feet tall and spreads slowly so it is not like the bamboo that grows as large as fishing poles or the timber bamboo that grows larger than telephone poles. All bamboo is an ideal grass plant that puts way more back into the environment than almost any other plant. I am thrilled about that.

My flowers are still under the ground.
