Anybody know where this sign is located in Selma?
The plaque is attached to the pole of the original light used
on the Edmund Pettus Bridge. The light was used from 1940
to circa 1960 and restored by the
Selma-Dallas County Historic Preservation Society.

Looks to me like it's on the ground!
Never hear of this bridge but think of the Civil Rights March halted here. It was a proud, but bloody moment in the movement. No idea what became of the light.
