Shady Lane

In the good old hot summertime, Selma has a lot of shady lanes. Huge oak trees and a few others shield sidewalks and homes from much of the sun's rays.

(A "cold front" moved through yesterday, and we have cooled off to temperatures well below 100 and lower humidity. It's cool outside right now!)

Oh, I know that you are appreciating the lower humidity! I love your view of the shady lane! Just looking at it seems to give one a cool sensation, much like a peppermint patty. LOL!

A shady lane is well-appreciated in these hot summer months!

We are also enjoying cooler daytime and downright frigid nights. Quite a departure from just last week when the sun seemed to blister everything. I am glad you guys got better weather. I also liked your post and photo today.

Cold front? You lucky person, you! What a beautiful shady lane.

We've got big water oaks in our front yard and one huge limb came crashing down on an azalea bush last night (water-soaked limb) and tomorrow my job is to cut up the darn thing and haul it off.

We're all the way down to the mid-80's today because it's raining night and day now!
