Old Live Oak Cemetery is a never-ending canvas for artists and photographers,
and its colors are most beautiful in April.
Behind drapes of Spanish Moss, you see the Spring House or Pigeon House.
It was here that Memorial Day concerts and programs were held,
and it is also here where pigeons used to roost in its gables,
now closed off. Today, it serves as storage.
beautiful...too bad they closed it and using it for storage
ReplyDeleteI so want to spend some time in Alabama exploring.
ReplyDeleteThe Spanish Moss is so very Southern.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Oak Tree but in reality I have always been allergic to poison Ivy and Oak trees.
ReplyDeleteI do like that song back then.
Tie a ribbon around on the old oak tree.
That made up for it.
Lovely photo. The South is one part of the country that I have missed. Better put it on my Bucket List. Like others, I am sorry this building is now only used for storage.
