O is for Old South

Fashions of the OLD SOUTH is one of several living history venues

A beautiful frock in a scrumptious color. I'd love to wear something like this myself!!

This is such a great thing for the students to learn about and a wonderful way to teach it!

How romantic those dresses were at that time. We are not dressed in very interesting clothes now unless we need them for our work, like models,or actors. I used to wear dresses or frocks, but now I only wear trousers. Have a great week.

What a wonderful dress! I'm not sure I would want to wear one in the summer heat and humidity though.

Lois, I have wondered how women survived in the summer heat back then and without air conditioning!
