Winding Wysteria

Purple wysteria winds its way around the brick post and gate
 at the Riverside Park entrance.

The park is adjacent to Valley Creek Park (commonly called Bloch Park)
and will soon be the site of the Battle of Selma school tours and re-enactment.

  9. Very beautiful shot, I really love it!

I was hoping it wasn't true about the FCC, too, but sadly & very disgustingly, it is. The word about it needs to be spread & fast, too, because that page will only be open until the end of April, so would you consider posting it on your blog? There's enough being shown on tv, now, as it is... they need to show less, not more!
    Thank you so very much.

  12. A beautiful vine that is rarely seen here. It has such an air of romance to it.

  13. Wisteria make me grind my teeth. My next door neighbor has a vine on an arbor next to the property line, and it is SO invasive. It keeps sending shoots into some of my beds and it is nearly impossible to eradicate. Grrr.

    Cheers from Cottage Country!

  15. Jack, you are right about it being invasive. I have a vine in the backyard that sends shoots everywhere too. I try to keep it tamed as best I can!

  17. I like the delicate wisteria wrapping around the hard textures of the brick and iron.

  18. It is beautiful but so invasive. I would never plant it because of that. We have had problems with it for years. Just goes to show that being beautiful isn't everything!!
