Reading The Torah

Selma celebrated its Jewish heritage this past weekend
 during the 38th annual Pilgrimage, and among the displays
 at Temple Mishkan Israel was The Torah Scroll. 

Printed on parchment paper with Sephardic (Spanish) Hebrew letters,
 it may have been intended for a Spanish congregation in Europe,
 but later it was brought to the U.S.

    That is a surprise. I didn't know about Selma having a Jewish heritage, but there is a lot I don't know about Selma.

    The alphabet sure is artistic, isn't it? I didn't realize the Sephardic had letters that were different from other Jew. Interesting.
