A blue sky, white bluffs and calm water combine to create a great day for cruising the Alabama River.
Whites Bluff is located about 25 miles downriver from Selma.

ReplyDeleteHow cool is that! When I first saw the photo I thought that it was a rock quarry. Very cool that you can see this from the river. Are there not any tales of Indian maidens throwing themselves from the top to avoid marrying someone icky? - Rachel
ReplyDeleteNo tales that I know of, Rachel, but Indians lived all along the river way back when, and this waterway was an "interstate" for early explorers and traders.
