Garden-grown corn, tomatoes, peaches, okra, peas, blackberries and watermelon are all it takes to get Selmians up early on Saturday mornings.
The Dallas County Farmers' Market had a brisk business today around 8 a.m., and folks who want a good choice of homegrown goodness for supper have to get there fast.
The market is open from 6 a.m. til 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday under the shed at Bloch Park.
That would be so nice to have a place like that here...
ReplyDeleteIt seems all the small towns around here have seasonal Farmer markets. I like to browse around them too.
ReplyDeleteYes there was a partial Lunar eclipse. Out here it was 3am until 6am but we were under an overcast sky. MB
I do miss the Olathe sweat corn we use to get in Delta...Going back in a month for our daughter's wedding so we will need to stock up!
