Skywatch Friday (Fair with Flowers)
Skies were fair during the first part of last weekend as Selma put on some of its finest attire to welcome Pilgrimage guests.
This historic marker for the former swing-span bridge and lamppost in Lafayette Park wear a rosy pink as the Bridge Tender's Cottage nearby opened for tours. The Pettus Bridge is in the background. View more skies at www.skyley.blogspot.com.

Wouldn't it be nice to just sit on the bench for a while and stare out.
Beautiful sky. I also like the bright pink flowers.
Love the way the bridge in the background anchors the photo in SELMA!!!

That pink is so beautiful!
You must have been standing in almost the same spot as when you took your banner photo : ) Nice shot, pretty flowers.
Can't wait for the street bouquets to be posted because that means summer is REALLY here.
Looks like a perfect spring day...a lovely composition!
bfarr, I was standing just the other side of the lamppost.
Love seeing the hanging planters out! They won't be out here till the end of May!
