Here is one of my favorite photos in the Rosenburg Collection at The Old Depot Museum, an elderly woman seated in a ladder-back chair, and no one has been able to identify her so far.
Most likely, this photo was taken back in the 1920s, so even young children of that era would now be very old, and her identity may just remain a mystery.

What a beautiful photograph! You never know, she could be identified someday. A few years ago in the town where I grew up, they published a calendar full of old pictures. On the cover was a picture taken in the 1920's of a beautiful young woman who was not identified. She happened to be my grandmother! She would have loved knowing that she was a calendar girl in the 21st century.

Rose and EG, just what I was thinking when I saw her photo. If this was taken in the 1920s, and she looks to be fairly along in years, she may have been alive during the Civil War and Reconstruction. She may have been a child then. Plus all the change that came to Selma during the early 1900s, if she even lived here then. Maybe I can interview her in Heaven.
You have to wonder what kind of life she had and how her progeny turned out. Fascinating photo!
