Moonflower

I call moonflowers (or moon lilies) like this glow-in-the-dark flowers. They bloom at dusk, then close in the morning.

Thanks to Jacque Johnson for contributing this beautiful photo of one of my favorite flowers.

What a lovely photo. I'd like to experience this plant... see and watch it. Guess I'll have to admire it from afar.

Might make you hurt yourself if you saw them glowing on a dark night. Two big white eyes glaring at you from some shadowy figure. Hope things in Selma are moving forward. Pappy

Are moonflowers also really fragrant? I think we had some of these in a pot before.

Lovely photo!

Halcyon, I think they have some fragrance, but I don't remember them as being "overwhelming."

They have a wonderful fragrance--much like lillies. The more flowers on the plant the more fragrance drifts your way.
