About as Close as You can Get (Camera Critters)




My camera must have had a magnet that drew this Simmental X cow to get as close she could to the lens.

Of all the cattle that were feeding on fresh hay, this one departed the herd to check me out. I decided to climb atop an old wagon to keep her at a nose's length!

    Not often cows let you get that close...I'm guessing your camera must have looked like some better food than hay :-) Great get!

    The name struck me as I've been to the place called Simmenthal in Switzerland and your cow looked similar to the ones I've seen here so I had to do a quick Wiki search. And indeed, they originate from CH!
