Today is the International Day of Peace, and people all over the world have made hundreds of thousands of Pinwheels for Peace. These pinwheels made by children at the St. Edmund Learning Center are among the pinwheels promoting "whirled peace." The pinwheel project was begun by teachers in Florida and is meant to allow children to express their views of peace in a fun, creative way.To view my Camera Critters post for today, click HERE.
On the portal I thought this was a day care floor after the kids went home. I was pleased to see it is even better than that. Pinwheels. Neat.

ReplyDeleteOh we did that at my school a few years ago. Our art teacher organized a terrific event where the students planted them in a grassy area of our school. It was spectacular. Don't we all need a little peace in this world of ours!!!

ReplyDeleteYou are in charge of reminding me about the Okra Festival next summer. YOu know I will forget all about it. I have laughed all day at the comments Pro and Con regarding the lowly OKRA! I may have to fry some up tomorrow. I've made myself hungry!
