It's Skywatch Friday again, and the sky transitions from blue to dark blue over the Songs of Selma Park as night sets in.
In the background, you can see the top of the Pettus Bridge.

I know they honored the Martyr of Hayneville last weekend. Did it involve a walk across the Petus Bridge?
ReplyDeleteAre you really lucky enough to have lime green street lamps. That's so retro -- and so cool!
I like the color of the street lights. I never saw this color on lamps before.

Also,I hope it was worth the wait. I thought it was so funny that we kept photographing the same sky for those few days!
ReplyDeleteHaha! They aren't lime green in reality, but for some reason, every photo I took at this time of evening makes them appear that color. Any ideas as to why?
ReplyDeleteI took photos of other similar lamps down the street, and they don't look green.
Perhaps this park has gone green...!
Hey Pj, Yes, I thought it was pretty cool that you posted pictures of the same sunset at Pensacola that I posted from Orange Beach. Now, how often does that happen?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a little splash of Crepe Myrtle in the greenery in front of the bridge. Pappy
ReplyDeleteMy first visit and I scrolled down as I have never been to Selma. Pretty and much different from NY.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful shades of blue!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with SkyWatch Friday. Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteLove the lime green looking street light. Good post for sky watch :)
ReplyDeleteYou got this at the perfect color of blue!
ReplyDeleteBEautiful SWF photo from Selma, Alabama! I've never been there, but have always wanted to go! Great picture!
ReplyDeleteI see just a touch of crepe myrtle too. I know that the sky is bluer and the air clearer in Alabama!! Beautiful shot for Sky watch.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot! Is it really that colour on the street light or have you done somtehing with the photo?
