The rear of some of the older buildings along Water Avenue reveals signs such as these. The Purina Chows sign is posted at the former Dallas Feed & Seed. It can only be seen from the Alabama River and perhaps the Pettus Bridge... or if you take a stroll through the back alley.

Purina used to be "the" big name in animal feeds and pet foods but I don't think I have seen the name in years.
I'm with Abraham; I wonder...is the company still around and viable? Love the look and texture of the bricks.
I was attracted by the color of bricks at citydaily. And I was right when I visited your blog, the color is fabulous.
What is the greenery? Almost looks like Christmas garland. Is something growing that high up? Interesting old sign too.
