Gardenia

Gardenia is my favorite southern flower. Its perfumed fragrance just says Summer and Southern and Sweet! Our large gardenia bush needs pruning, but I hate to cut it back!

    It would be a sin to cut it back while it is rewarding your green fingers with these delicously scented flowers!

    I have heard of a gardenia before, but I guess I have never seen one. Its a pretty flower.

    Quite beautiful and definitely has a southern feel! For some reason it reminds me of a beautiful wedding dress.

    I cannot believe my eyes! I was trying so hard to capture exactly that the same photo on my little gardenia bush, but my camera simply is not capable of getting the details. My little bush was full of blooms this years but only one bloom had that little rosebud in the center. Beautiful photo!
