The Horsehead Fountain
The horsehead fountain outside the St. James Hotel lends charm to its entrance and makes a great focal point for photographs, especially with colorful flowers in the background. The riverfront hotel was renovated this past year, and back in the 1800s, it thrived with river and rail traffic.
That's a lovely fountain - agree with you - super with the background flowers. The shutters on the building - so like French shutters.
ReplyDeleteI like that, its different.

ReplyDeleteI love this fountain. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteJilly, Water Avenue buildings do have French influence. Some of them have grillwork and details similar to that found in the New Orleans French Quarter.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful fountain -- very classy and well done. It also reminds me of the crest of a French chocolate butter cookie that I like a lot.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll have to visit Selma on my next walkabout through the South. Thanks for coming by. Come back anytime.
